About Our “Honeybee” Logo

Our logo depicts a whimsical honeybee in flight. This image evokes the essence of hearing sound. It symbolizes our approach to hearing care very well. First, the honeybee is a very collaborative creature. We are like the honeybee. We collaborate with each patient until we achieve the goal. In addition, we cooperate with our community to conserve and improve hearing. We also offer educational programs to community organizations. Finally, honey is good medicine. In like manner, our logo symbolizes the positive and holistic health benefits of better hearing. Better hearing connects us with our magic.

“Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it so it goes on flying anyway.”
– Mary Kay Ash

The honeybee has been highly symbolic since prehistoric times. It has been used as a royal emblem for thousands of years. And the honeybee was also associated with the divine feminine in many cultures of the ancient world. Today, invisible sound and hearing are still associated with spirit. In addition, the health benefits of honey are celebrated all over the world. ‘Hearing’ the sound of the bee flying is certainly honey to the soul!

Balance of Science and Art

This is why Over-the-Counter cannot match what we do:
Science may work wonders, but science cannot explain why bees fly. At Beauport Hearing Care™ we begin with science and the best technology. But every brain hears and listens differently. Something may work perfectly well for one person but not for someone else. Moreover, about 30% of hearing loss is “hidden” – and that means it is not captured by testing. Therefore, fitting hearing aids requires a balance of art and science. In other words, it is impossible to automate the best hearing aid fittings. It takes an experienced professional to match instrument output with your hearing perception. The hearing test and algorithms only get you so far. And that is where the real adventure begins. We coach our patients every step of the way. We help them fly to their ‘beautiful harbor’ of safe hearing and communication. And everything is possible.
