‘Hearing and Brain Fitness’ explores what ‘hearing’ means to the brain.  In addition, holistic approaches have reduced dementia and Alzheimner’s symptoms for participants in controlled clinical research.    The number of people with Alzheimer’s Disease is rising very rapidly. Between 1954 and 2010 the rate of Alzheimer’s Disease for people under age 60 increased by more than 15-fold – after adjusting for population growth!  Growing evidence indicates that healthy hearing and good nutrition combined with active community life and socialization hold great promise.

Free hearing screenings will be available after the presentation. No cost hearing evaluations with individual coaching will also be scheduled for anyone that requests it.
